Our journey traces its origins to the historic year of 1947, against the backdrop of India’s independence. M/s. A.K. Ismail, born out of the vibrant textile hub of Chennai, a bustling city in the southern part of India and the capital of Tamil Nadu, has deep roots in a fully integrated textile industry.
This dynamic ecosystem encompasses every aspect, from the inception of yarns to the intricate art of weaving and knitting. Dyeing and printing units add their vivid touch, while state-of-the-art garment units bring our visions to life.
M/s. A.K. Ismail’s inception was more than a mere business venture; it was a labor of love ignited by my visionary grandfather, Mr. Haji Abdul Kareem (Late), nurtured by my father, Mr. Anwar Ali, and I. Mohammed Ibrahim Anwar am the torch bearer of this great institution.
Over the years and generations, as we ventured through Chennai’s textile heartland, our institution has remained rooted at the same address, embodying continuity, trust, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Experience & Expertise: A Lifelong Dedication
With over two and a half decades of personal experience and 3rd generation in the textile and garments sector, I, Mohammed Ibrahim Anwar, have been immersed in learning and implementing the intricacies of this dynamic industry.
Stepping into my family’s legacy in 1997, I ventured into the export business, transforming fabrics into finished goods that adorned international markets.
In 2002, I embraced the challenges of government business, supplying textiles and garments, particularly uniforms, to various sectors.
This pursuit of knowledge led me to the niche realm of branded garments in 2007. I collaborated with renowned names like Fruit of the Loom, Under Colors of Benetton, and Raymond’s Inner Garments, cementing my understanding of brand dynamics.
Weaversfruit Unveiled: A Triumph Amidst Challenges.
The year 2015 marked a pivotal moment as we recognized the potential within our uniform supply business. Dedicated efforts and a commitment to excellence yielded remarkable results. Then, in the face of the global pandemic in 2020, I seized the opportunity to reflect and innovate.
